Android Central Question

Hi there

My friends took my phone (Huawei Mate 10 Pro) and plugged it into their iPhones with the USB C to lightning cable. The Huawei worked as like a power bank, as the iPhone started charging

But I want to know can that damage my Huawei in any way?

I don't believe so. That power sharing is a feature of the USB-C spec. It shouldn't hurt your phone, but you should still be conscious of your charge level and not let it drop much below 20%.

I mean there is a risk, even when set to charging, that dormant malware may even be activated by the action of connecting the USB to anything other than a power only output /input.
