Pocketnow HTC 10 camera review after update.

I know what the subject was I used another example where we all got hyped up on what someone else says vs accepting what is being provided by another trusting source don't do the whole read the thread thing okay.

It wasn't about any single person. It was always about the phone. And it's camera quality. It's focusing speed. It's launch speed. The colors. That's it.

People over here made it seem like it was about pitting one person against the other.

And the original discussion is dead. I wanted to know how the speed of launching the camera and taking a picture fairs to the competition.

Nobody seems to care about that. Everybody wants to be right -.-

I care about the phone and camera just as much as you or anyone else that has a vested interest in this phone. I think there might have been misunderstanding around who goto what updates and not. My deal is let's trust our sources and leave it at that we will see soon enough once we have the phone. I am sure updates will come once they are in the public. I just think in this case there was some confusion with how things were worded that's all.

I understand. You're right.

I am not right dude again no one is wrong I simply implied let's trust the guys from AC there was misunderstanding that's all no one is wrong it's opinions that's all now let's get a virtual drink and talk phones and hope they start the pre order deliveries early and a week from now laugh at this.

I think that some of the "Real" camera miscommunication is coming from the name of the review series itself. Juan has a very photography pro-centric review format and happens to name the video series the Real camera review. That can be a polarizing name, especially when it is applied to such a wide range of devices.

When it comes to the update side of things with the HTC 10 camera, I think that people are wanting to squeeze every ounce of performance out of the camera they can. The byproduct of this is that people are anxious for updates much in the same anxious way that people wait for the next big update to their phone that in their minds will make a bad phone a good phone in terms of performance.

I hope this makes sense haha.

Android Authority.
Does say that the phone is quick to capture. But overall, it's very good. Not great. But good. Very good.

Highlights get blown out.
Colors don't pop.
Really soft images.

I love HTC. And I think I might give them a chance this time. But I expected much better.

I got the M8 and it's probably my favourite phone ever. But I take my smartphone photography just a little too seriously. I crop. I compose shots after I take them. I do a lot of action photography. And while the M8 did a lot of this right, the resolution to go into subjects wasn't there. So I switched.

I'm afraid of getting the 10 for the same reasons.

The camera is the only reason I'm stuck with Samsung.

This.

It seems like Phil has taken great offense to the title of Juan's review. In reality, he has been using this moniker for a long time.

Also, Juan's review are simply more in-depth than what others have put out. He also displays a thorough understanding of cameras, optics, audio, etc. His camera review, alone, is 12+ minutes. Juan has an excellent reputation and I will take his word regarding the update.

I agree 100% with the stuck to samsung for the camera I am the same way I find myself going back no mater what phone I am using and there are a lot (Note 5, Nexus 6p, iPhone 6 plus, BlackBerry Priv *yes I am a phone junkie* ) just for the camera. I am really hoping this phone can take good pictures. I am not stuck on how fast the shutter snaps just as long as its not super slow to where I am getting lots of blur pics which I don't think will be the case with HTC even if it is not as fast as sammys just give me good quality. Their next offering should be out of the park now that they are back on track.

Well said I thinks this is what the majority of us do.

People keep kicking this thread to the irrelevant side.

However. Here's another review comparison. HTC is looking good here.

Please kindly keep your comments relevant to the phone and not the drama.

I think the Verge is just full of writers who are angry with the world. Everything is good, but not great, and never as good as that other thing. Anyone complaining that they won't be able to take absolutely stunning pictures with the 10 shouldn't be trying to blame the camera because cameras don't take good pictures, Photographers do.

And photographers carry what? Bad cameras? I won't call myself a good smartphone photographer but even if I call myself a bad one I can say this much that a good camera "helps" getting a good shot to the point where you can almost trust the phone it will do a good job capturing anything you point it at. I trust my S6 to that point.

You can find evidence on instagram if you want :/ that I do take photography seriously and I'm not just being an *** :/ @basirrizwanbasir

MKBHD review is out. It's what you expect. Like everybody else. 10 on 10 for everything except the camera. Ahhhh.. damnit. I only wanted 10 on 10 for the camera I didn't care about the rest.

I guess I don't understand... If the cam is that much of a priority then why not who to a site that actually knows about photography, like DXO Mark who said it's tied for best w/ the S7?
Or sites like these who seem to have an actual interest in photography?

You mentioned earlier about the sites you trust being "pros", but they're not. They're professional journalists, not photographers. What education do they have in photography? I'm not going to hound you or insist you change your mind at all, I just wanted to bring this up since you said the cam is your #1 point of interest. It's my #1 too.

I did share android authority video man. And I think you're giving these people very little credit.

But mostly, I don't listen to what they say. I mean I do give it a listen. But I mostly LOOK at the pictures myself and judge the quality myself.

To be honest I didn't get impressed by the quality of the pictures from the beginning. But the reviewers kept 'saying' that it's an amazing camera. The evidence to me showed otherwise. However many reviewers say it how it is. I don't know.

But you're right. But also, I watch and read around 25 reviews before I make a judgement. If I'm posting two or three over here it doesn't mean those are the only one I'm checking out.

I reeeeally want to get this phone. I'm tired of using Samsung. I just want somebody to say and show me its as good. Someway. Somehow.
