Stitcher radio is pretty good for podcast streaming.

There's also Google Listen.

Doggcatcher is great (I own it too), but as an alternative give BeyondPod a try - they offer a trial so you can see if it's what you're looking for. I just prefer its UI and it has all the options you could possibly want.

I just did a search for Google listen in the play store and it didn't show up. Is it just me or is it gone?

Pocket Casts is really good and worth a look. I'm now using doubletwist for my podcasting needs though and am more than happy with it.
