the cases on Amazon are sold directly by Poetic, so just go with Amazon if the price is lower (and it typically has been).

HardBack model:
Top layer peeling off in regularly used areas for anyone else? It's the thin deep black/simulated leather layer. Very, very thin layer and is wearing most on the bottom left holder (hold the case with my left hand). Wondering if it's just me or not.

It's a second batch model. Sleep/wake works fine 95% of the time. Sometimes the magnet does trigger sleep when it folds around. Also, since I can get it to fold around, I'm pretty sure I don't have the folding flat issue... Unless I'm taking the name it's been given too literally.

Seems like a great cover, just a bit disappointed with the craftsmanship after only having it two weeks and starting to have peeling. :-\

I have the issue with the thin layer leather. It looks like its going to tare off, but it hasn't. Its still intact. I'm still happy though.

Hopefully the 3rd version won't have those issues. Since you mentioned the roocase ultraslim, I looked it up. Can't say I'd like having that tab on the back, or having so much of the face of the device covered. If the 3rd version of this case has the back fold flat, and it holds up for a while, I'll love it, cuz I already really like the 2nd version one that I have.

Got mine yesterday! Works great. Does everything I wanted it to do. Build quality is good, but not stellar. Seriously though you can't beat this for $20.

Ideally, I would have liked Asus to build in some kind of case support system like the iPad or the Kindles so that we could leave the back of the device naked, but they didn't. So here I am. Happy camper!

I received my replacement today and I'm quite pleased. Folds flat, smart features function correctly and it's a good a value.

I received mine today. Works perfectly. Folds flat, the sleep function works like it's supposed to. I'm happy! Kudos to Poetic for handling the situation as well as they have, although I now have 6 cases for my Nexus 7...

Update: jut received mine too. It's perfect now. I noticed a big difference now. It didn't bother me before though. We should all write a positive review for them on amazon. That was cool of them

I was surprised to have one waiting for me when I got home today. Thing is o never ordered the original! I had placed an order then cancelled when I heard of didn't fold back all the way. I guess they wanted to send me one form my trouble? Either way awesome customer service and an awesome case! IMO its the perfect case for the Nexus 7. Folds all the way back, sleep function works great, and adds little bulk ton the device.
