Wondering if the nexus can still play audio through the built in speakers when connected to the dock? Really, i want to make sure the alarm will sound, and that i can play music without having to connect the line out to anything.

Yes and yes... music and alarms will continue to play through the integrated speaker when pogo docked. That's actually how I'm using it- I use my gnex as my alarm clock, so I wanted something on my nightstand that would charge it, be at a visible angle while in bed, and not need a lot of fumbling in the dark to dock (lining up connectors). So far it's fulfilling my needs perfectly (nothing plugged into pogo line-out jack).
