pokemon won't update

Hi All
Been playing pokemon go now since release on my android phone but now it's telling me my phone is not compatible any ideas please and thanks in advance

The first things to try are clearing cache, clearing data and uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

What device are you using? You could try contacting the developer for all the good that will do... Other than that the only thing I can think of is side loading the apk...

I am on rca viking pro 10. was working fine until this last update came out and now says not compatible.

Easiest fix would be to reinstall the app. If that doesn't work, try installing an apk version from elsewhere. However, do this at your own risk as some sideloaded versions of Pokemon Go have been reported to contain malware.

It sounds like Niantic dropped support for tablets (at least Android tablets) in one of the more recent updates. It also says it's incompatible with my Nexus 7 2013.

havent tried anything yet. Cant even reinstall the app. Afraid of trying apk, have seen where you might pick up adware or viruses.
