Poland. Seriously?

Poland isn't an easy place to live now. Housing costs a massive % of take home pay. Municipal jobs like firefighter barely cover the cost of housing and food. That's why so many people head over the the UK from Poland, primarily for work, to make a decent wage. I can't imagine there are many G3's in Poland, so must be a good a good market for testing purposes.

...Nothing to do with the choice of Poland for L, but the Poles had the earliest success in breaking Enigma, long before Bletchley Park, so there's a historical link to the devices we now hold in our hands. (Excuse me for mentioning that here OP, no wish to steer off-topic, but your thread reminded me of it.)

I don't agree that market size, carrier relationships or local resources should be the important factors to decided, where to invest. We should also take the local demands into account. Basically, only demands bring interest.

Well, you can agree or disagree all you want, but the decision is LG's, not yours. And LG has very good reason for not releasing the update to their biggest markets first.

If they released it to your market first, and it was buggy, you'd probably be complaining as loud as anyone about why they released it before it was ready.

Really, once you realize that software needs to be tested, smaller markets cost less the release updates into, while having a carrier more willing to work with you, & that Apple's software fiasco affected their already corroded image (LG's mobile image not having enough good standing to take that kind of hit), the decision seems a lot more evident.

Maybe a Polish release also suggests a later than anticipated US release of Lollipop. I ran accross an article claiming Android Police report seeing a leaked Sprint document which says Sprint will have a December update, but not to Lollipop. It is to be security fixes and improvements to International Wifi calling, built on 4.4.2.
