Wow, this is fantastic. The main reason I was holding off on flashing to the VC radio was because I really didn't want to deal with the hassle of doing all the adb commands in order to switch back to stock recovery. I've already done them all to get the custom recovery on in the first place... any time-saver from there on out is much appreciated :)

I am very closely watching this awesome awesome project. The screen shots are very encouraging. I have my fingers crossed this comes to fruition and i can guarantee the blog writers are watching as well (read - News story)

Check your PM box for a thoughtful gift :p

Looking good so far, will be nice when you get it all polished off and compiled!
I will be ready to be your distribution source if need be when the time comes.

Rooting is now functional in the latest dev build. Still ironing out a few kinks, but if you want a preview dev build to mess around with, PM me for details.

Hurray! Spent 4 hours trying to get Android SDK and Java to play together on a win 7 64 bit machine and still no joy. So yes there is a need for the new android user who still has not completely figured out the phone yet let alone the android development system.

TIA:)

This application will not set up the Android SDK for you.

HINT: Install both the 64-bit and 32-bit editions of the Java JDK (and the Java JRE).

Thanks for the input! I do agree that one does lose the educational aspect but honestly, I think there are also quite a few people new to the process that don't give a rat's you-know-what about the educational aspect.

Agreed, some people want to know how to do things to learn (like most of your android users), and there are some that just want the one button to push and it works (like most of your i-whatever owners).

I jest, I jest.

Is this the "Install Everything and let God sort them out" approach? ;)

Yeah, pretty much. But it's also what I had to do on my own Windows 7 x64 machine.

My thoughts exactly. So why not cater to ALL users? We have a guide for those that want to get into ADB and whatnot, and will have (soon, I promise!) this tool for those who don't want to have anything to do with the command line. It's a win-win situation!

Thanks I 1st tried the 64 bit, uninstall it and then loaded the 32bit. Usually both is a bad thing but I will give it a try.

Whoops I thought this was a discusion post a not a actual alpha build (I need ot go to sleep). I appreciate all the hard work and while I use on click methods I feel kinda against them and voted no. I think everyone should use ADB and manually root the first time. No offense to anyone but a lot of help posts are from people who use 1click methods and then have a problem and don't know what to do. So while I have used them I make sure to root my phones the old manual way first. Just wanted to explain why I hit no .

Quote from Java.com: "We have detected you may be viewing this page in a 32-bit browser. If you use 32-bit and 64-bit browsers interchangeably, you will need to install both 32-bit and 64-bit Java in order to have the Java plug-in for both browsers."

Both is not a bad thing :p

I think this control center sounds great,One click methods are great when your changing roms and such and dont wanna spend the time going the long way.
