I don't know why everyone is saying White is for women...I'm female and I have NEVER owned a white phone. I personally find them ugly and would assume they get very noticeably dirty. I waited an extra week for the store to order me a black S5! Well worth the wait - I wasn't settling.

I used to like white phones, but I have lost interest in them now. I had a white iPhone 5S, Galaxy S3, Note 2, and Note 3. Now I have the black Note 3 and like it better. I think I'm finally over white phones.

I got white. I am a man. I always had the non white version before the Note 3. Changed it up since then.

So a question for all you saying white is for girls, do you NEVER wear any kind of white clothing?

I own a white LG G2, a white Galaxy S5, and a black Note 3. It's sad how many insecure "boys" on here equate a white phone to be a girls device. Newsflash: the color of your phone has no relation to the sex of a person! If you are a person who thinks a white phone is girly, you are probably not mature enough to own such a device in the first place. I get the people who don't like white out of preference, but give the ridiculous stereotypes a rest. You are not "cool" when you say white is for girls. It's just shows how immature you are.

I don't have the s5,but on my note 3, I had both the black(well dark) and white one. Both were nice and I liked both colors.

I got the black but only because my last phone was white so I thought i'd have a black one this time. My male friend had a white one. I really don't think it makes any difference if you are a girl, that is just silly.

No worries, I got white too. I just liked the look of it better. It may work out more that way statistically but it doesn't mean it has to be that way. Get what you like. I too liked the white, it really pops, and even though the black one felt softer to me, it looked much more average to me. The white one really looks premium, and I love it.

Also, I considered the black one, but it looked more dark grey than black and the back looked almost a little faded to me, but still quite nice. The white isn't quite white either, it's definitely an ivory or pearl white and to me it looks really sharp.

Maybe it's my age but I tend to consider white more of a color (I know, white isn't a color) women prefer and black for men. It may not be now, but it definitely used to be!

I prefer the black one as it does look more professional. I don't know about the black = male though but I am a male so I guess I subconsciously picked it lol.
