Do you use Android Auto (or maybe got to try it in a friends car)? I personally love using Android Auto (or CarPlay for iPhone) within my truck. I can't imagine not using it now a days due to the convenience of voice commands + maps on the screen.

So I am curious... Do you use Android Auto? Or possibly want it?

Yes, currently directly on the phone screen and will be a requirement on my next car purchase (soon I hope). Google did a pertty decent job implementing the phone-based AA experience and really looking forward to having it on a 7" or 8" dash display.

Yes, that and Car Play. They're great! I don't think I'll install a radio now without it.

I use it in my wife's car, but my car does not have it. Starting to use it though even when I don't have a screen to cast it to in my car. Seems to put a few things right at my finger tips that I need when in the car. Still getting used to it more.

Been using it ever since I owned a vehicle with it. Over 2 years now. I think we spoke about it when you first got your pickup and at the time you hadn't tried it.

Been using since got my 2016 Golf, used both AA and CP both mostly good experience. Will be using AA with my new pixel waiting to arrive this week.

Yes, I use it wired in my 2016 Chevy Spark. I can't imagine getting a car without it.

yes i do... But it's more snarky than car play. Just have to get used to it....I hope

snarky - informal adjective
- (of a person, words, or a mood) sharply critical; cutting; snide.
- cranky; irritable.

Snarky was a new word to me. Looks like I might be alone in not knowing what it meant. My apologies for posting the definition.

Last time I tried it, it was buggy (thanks GM).

Currently, I have an actual Android (7" tablet) in my auto, connected to the car stereo via Bluetooth.

I think by Snarky he means a nice way of saying "sort of pain in the a**" as i recall having some connectivity conflicts where as with Carplay is pretty straight forward and usually works with ease (except for podcast app, it constantly crashes).

Before I try it can you tell me what's the benefits because my phone's are sync up already to my car?

Yep big benefit. You get maps on screen and Google assistant at your call with OK Google. Basically you can control your phone all via the assistant and see it on the screen.
