Agree or disagree, as an X1 owner, I am more than satisfied to see the new X2 being brought to the public in its current form, and was wondering, by the X2 looking like its older brother, do you agree Motorola done what most companies should do, and got it right the first time?

I came from a Blackberry Storm One, and I got my X back in September of 2010, and to right now, I still love this phone just as much as the first day. Gingerbread is pretty neat on it but it has some hiccups that need to be addressed, keyboard lag for one.

Im curious to know your opinions?

I for one was dissappointed with the X2 specs, that said I love my X and I do not see any current phones that would entice me to switch. Still on Froyo, still running smooth as silk, no reason for me to upgrade to GB (yet).

yeah unfortunately alot of phones are definitely not right the first time (e.g. - thunderbolt, X1, X2) and i doubt that will ever happen. it definitely took RIM a loooooong time to get the storm software up to snuff also, but i digress, it would be nice but it aint gonna happen. hell, look at apple. they didn't even include MMS in their phones til recently, so even they didn't get it right the first time. not to mention the death grip.....no one is immune.

Try clearing the data on the multi touch keyboard app and see if your lag goes away.

Settings> applications> manage applications> all> multi touch keyboard>clear data

My only real complaint as far as not getting it right the first time was their rat brained idea of locking the bootloader. Everything else is stuff that I don't really need but would like to have seen different such as the subpar CCD in the camera, I would have rather had a more sensitive 5MP CCD (Sony CCD) than the current 8MP that does a less than stellar job indoors and low light areas.
Everything else is software and had the bootloader been unlocked I would be on Cyanogenmod and could care less what Moto was trying to do with Blur and their ridiculously slow OTA intervals.
That being said the formfactor on the phone has not been matched or exceeded by anyone else. This is still an Escalade Hummer of a smartphone IMO.

While I do agree that the camera could be better as a 5mp that is more sensitive, that is not my main complaint. IF they had gotten rid of the hump I would have seriously considered upgrading to the X2.
