Poll.. Removable battery or fixed

I vote removable but would much prefer super fast charging, like while you have a snack 10 minutes or so, batteries take far too long to charge even with the fastest charger.

If I could, I'd have a removable battery. My BlackBerry phones and my LG G3 had them and I miss that luxury. However, my Pixel 2 gives me pretty decent battery life and charges pretty quickly before I have to leave for work in the morning... But it would be pretty cool to swap batteries if I was in a big hurry/if I had a battery issue.

Removable

Give you the option to carry a spare battery.

As long as it's waterproof, wireless charging.

Rather have a phone made durable out of plastic, so it don't break so easily.
Know the mfg will never go back to plastic.

Removable all the way. I can understand wanting to have a more premium build on an $800 phone, but I can't understand the removal of the removable batteries on the lower end models. I'd gladly trade this fragile back for a removable battery. Hell, the LG G5 did it, clearly there are ways around the plastic back dilemma.

I have had a non-removable battery for as long as I can remember (I think the last removable I had was the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic 4g Touch, followed by the HTC One M7, Nexus 5, HTC One M8, Note 5, Pixel XL, and my Galaxy S9+ I believe none of which had removable batteries). So I have been using non-removable batteries for 6 years and have never once wished I still had a removable battery.

LOL...you've had so many phones you don't need replaceable! I keep my phones until they break, I went from a S3 to a S7 which I still have and the battery on the S7 is junk but I won't replace it until it breaks, no need, nothing in a phone today that my phone from yesterday can't do.

Would rather loose the water proof rating on my phone for a replaceable battery.
I see people carrying a power pack so they can charge their phones.
But it seems like nothing is good enough for a lot of people.
Their phones need to be like a flashy piece of jewelry to show off
A replaceable battery ain't nice enough for them.

They are the people that messed up the phones.
I can remember I had a large battery and a smaller battery making it thinner.
Usually had the larger battery on it.

If people need others to look at their phones as a measure of status then they have issues. I don't know a single person who gives a hoot what another person has, phones are so ubiquitous these days it's hard to even care anymore.

Agree with the other points too. My wife has a Note 4 that operates GREAT. There's no reason at all for her to get a new phone however the battery has degraded to the point where she can't make it past mid-afternoon. Got on the internet this morning, ordered her a new battery for $13. It comes in tomorrow, I'll pop the back, plunk it in and she's good to go for years to come.

People ain't even had their new phones for 3 months till they are already looking at the next phone to come out.

I remember when they delivered milk to my house.

User Replaceable. I am still using a LG V20 because of this severely under rated feature. Batteries start losing their life after a year. I am not going to pay someone $120+ and hope and pray that they reassemble the phone correctly when I can replace the battery myself for $35. Sealed phones have a place....with waterproofing and such. People saw that apple gave the iphone a glass back...android people saw that and wanted it....they got it....and it's a bad idea. Adds another fragile item to a phone. Every review I have read that had a glass back suggests that you better put it in a case. Then what is the point of having a "pretty" glass back? Give me metal removable anyday! When this V20 dies, I have another NIB waiting to be turned on.Sealed phones....keep them. No thanks!

They TELL us what we like, not what we want. The funny part is many extoll the virtues once they've been convinced by the marketers what they want. Water rating is WAY over hyped IMO. I work construction, outside pretty much 365, New England weather and never have needed it, and I also drop my phone plenty and a slim fit case has always protected it well.
