I gave it a 9.

Great phone hardware and design, even more amazing OS.

Phone hardware is very nice, good design, solid feeling, light weight, thin, beautiful screen, fast, and am very pleased with the camera.

The OS, AMAZING. ICS is the mature OS we have hoped for. No wonder Google is getting sued left and right, the is an awesome iteration of the Android OS. Great UI, great performance.

Battery life is okay, coming from the first VZW 4G phone, the Thunderbolt, 4G battery life is better on the gNEX. the radios must be updated too, as the 4G speeds are much better on the gNEX.

By FAR, the best phone I have ever owned, maybe I can keek this one for my entire 2 year contract? Hmmmm......
sweet that's the comparison i was looking for and basically sealing the deal for me next month

8

Extended battery could bump that to a 9.

Friday I had almost no signal at work, today it's full 3G. If that holds it will be the best phone I've ever seen.

LOVED it this weekend. 4G is incredible.

This is an easy 9+ for me. My last two phones were a Droid Charge and a BB Storm 2. I never had a single problem with either of those phones, but neither of those can compare to this phone.

This new ICS OS is sweeeeet! I love it.

The hardware is great. My screen is ridiculously beautiful. Idk if I just have great ears, but I don't think my volumes are too low. A lot of people have complained, but mine are fine.

The only issue I have had is that I have tried to sync my iTunes music with airsync and doubletwist, but my computer cannot find my phone on my network. I've tried it a thousand times and even entered IP addresses manually. Idk wtf is up with that... I guess I'll just have to do a drag and drop of my music files. It'll take some time, but I consider that minor. Everything else has been rock solid; even a Google wallet purchase went through smoothly.

Basically, this phone is AWESOME!

I'm on a Galaxy Nexus, .

now that i have wallet on the phone i give it a solid 9. there are some radio issues and issues with dropped signals, but i seem to only have those issues in areas with a low signal as it is. so so far that issue has only been a slight annoyance, not anything of any real issue.

the look on the face of cashiers when i pay with my phone is worth the price of admission.

I'm giving it an 8 simply to give it room to improve. I mean when they get the radio updated and the minor keyboard and auto-rotate issues resolved this will be the the best phone out. It actually already is the best phone out in my opinion, but it will get better so I don't want to give it a 9 or a 10 right out of the gate.

I like the phone so far. I am giving it a 9. I had to use Google Maps today and it loads in very fast. My Bionic is way slow in comparison.

I went with a 9. Signal is not as bad as some and I am not dropping data or calls so if they can improve it through an update and help a little with battery life it will be the best phone that I have owned(and I've owned many androids)

I voted 8. I would like to see the speaker volume boosted. I would of thought that they could optimize the browser more. The browser is smooth but its not as user friendly as other browsers. I really do love ICS. It feels more polished. With a few tweaks I would raise it to a 9. 10 if they get out timely updates :)

9 seemed like a safe number.. but i couldnt do it.. this phone has been nothing but perfect for me since I got it.. had to go with 10.

I voted a 9

Pros:
Very fast
WiFi/4G very fast even though couple of bars
being able to pull down the notification bar from the lock screen
Screen is amazing
Being able to disable VZW apps without rooting
GPS locks quickly, faster than my Droid Charge
so much more....

Cons:
delay in typing sideways
Would like to see the calendar widget to display month as well

non-ICS:
Waiting for apps to be written to include ICS support

Id say an 8, its a good phone clean and crisp just some bugs like going from portrait to landscape is slow, speaker volume sucks but think I have if fixed now with Volume+, going from lock screen to camera takes a while and oh and camera sucks but I guess that is my fault for renting a Rezound with the most amazing camera and videos before i got the Nexus. It is fun to play with and learn new things.

I gave it a 7 only due to the poor signal, but that is a pretty big deal for a phone. As an Android device, it has been nothing short of amazing, but as a phone it has been below average.

I voted 8.

Eventhough I have been one of the biggest advocates of GN on the forum, there still lie issues and they ate up 2 points.

Pros: Nice CPU and screen resolution. Good battery life (when managed well). Wifi, GPS, and Bluetooth lock on pretty fast and reliably now (there was some issue at the first day, then mysteriously solved, though). ICS UI looks good and works well. Revised Free Wifi Tether app works perfect. Modified Google Wallet with NFC seems to work fine. Huge 32GB space can now be used for anything (including app installations). Unbelievably swift face unlock (I love it!!!). Rooting was easy and quick (and unrooting is also available).

Cons: Weak signal strength, thus causing signal drops at the fringe area and resulting fast battery exhaustion. Relatively slower file transfer speed (also transfer errors in some users). Not entirely smooth multitouch (There has been reports that multitouch does not work very well on certain games). Some apps are not yet 100% compatible with ICS.

IMHO, I believe all other issues being discussed on the forum, than the weak signal strength, are pretty much coming from the difference of personal preference or ignorance of the nature of the new technologies used on GN. For the signal strength issue, yes, there is one. But, hearing rumors of new basebands being tested out there, I wouldn't be worried about it too much.

I like looking at this aggregate data set. As of this point 117 of 136 people (86%) gave the GN an 8 or higher with 66 of the 117 gave a 9 that tells you a lot!

This thread needs a bump to remind people that despite some of the threads in the forum, most people love their GN.

9 for me so far. It's not perfect--no phone has been in the history of mobile--but it's about everything I could have possibly asked for.

Just can't wait for the development community to really hit their stride. Oh, and LOL @ the person who voted for '1'. Hyperbole Troll is Hyperbolic.

Just got it and I havent found anything to complain about yet. I'm sure I will come across something I don't like in the future but for now I can't go any lower than a 9.

8.8 Pretty solid device. Main problems are battery life, speaker volume and some connectivity issues. Each of these should be fixed via software updates.
