Poor HDMI Out Quality

I seem to be getting poor quality from the MHL to HDMI adapter...it's like the output is the same resolution as the phone's display (800x480) and it's just stretched to fit the screen...makes it look I'm watching an old DVD... Anybody else experiencing this? And is there a fix?

Maybe download a different player I use mvideo player instead of stock and I have no issues

Yes, I've noticed what u mean. I use my HDMI out to view photos, on a TV, and they look like they're stretched bigger than they should be for the resolution they are.
