Poor Motorola Droix X battery life?

I may have to consider returning this phone if the battery life issue doesn't improve. The phone is incredible but two hours off the charger and its already dead. Im sorry. I can't have that.

The WiFi not working is starting to piss me off. I know this isnt on topic but since ppl are complaining about somethin here, I just threw this in :)

The damn thing keeps turning on and off, on and off. Also, the phones laggy... Dont like :(

Dont get an Incredible then, Lol that phone has an even worse battery!

You need to give the phone a weeks worth of charging cycles! Then reevaluate your battery life!

Haven't even gotten my phone yet but if I can't get through a full day that could be a deal breaker for me. Granted I have chargers everywhere I go (home, office, car), but there's a reason it's a "wireless" device. It's clear that battery technology hasn't kept up with processor and display technology. Sure you can delete widgets and other battery intense applications, but then doesn't that defeat the purpose of getting this phone in the first place? Just my 2 cents.

i removed the live wallpaper and it's still hovering around 95% display use, i believe it may be something faulty or the display just may be a battery hog. Cause after I charged it last night I didnt use the phone as much and left it on sleep alot and 11 hours later i still have 80% battery life

I constantly played with the Droid yesterday and I checked the battery status and it was 30% and about 15 minutes later it gave me a warning that it was at 5%. I'm hoping that, like everybody has said, after a few more cycles it will sort itself out.

I've had mine for a day and battery life is even better than my original Droid's (which still got me through a day). Most noticeably when I'm browsing, battery life doesn't drain anywhere near as fast as it does on my Droid. After 2 hours of browsing with some music and texts, my X is at 80%. And the battery hasn't even been drained past 70% since I bought it yesterday.

Im like you in the sense that Im lucky with the battery life on mine. Its pretty good, especially in comparison to the Inc. That thing was pathetic.

As soon as i take my phone off the charger the battery life drops 10%. And its a steady decline after that.

Been playing with mine non-stop since 8am with g-mail pushed, and facebook and weather n stuff refreshing every 15 minutes. My batt is at 70%. Thats 5 hours of non-stop use pretty much. Some of u may have bad batt's?????????????

Yea, that's what I'm afraid of. Well Verizon will send me a new one if it's a bad battery, right?? (please)

Got mine yesterday evening at 6 p.m. and used it for about 30 minutes playing around. Then me and the girlfriend watched an hour of youtube videos in HQ which looked nice. I charged it overnight as I always do with my droid. As of 3 p.m. today I'm at 70% and I've been off charge since 5:35 a.m. So about 9.5 hours of moderate playing with it and installing apps, emails, 2 phone calls, and maybe 3 dozen texts and I'm at 70%. Not bad for the first charge cycle. That's about equal to my droid which would always get me through an 18 hour day unless I used the gps heavily. I can live with that and was hoping the increased battery would cancel out the larger screen. So far so good.

My battery has been solid. Pretty comparable to the droid. I've been off charger since 6 and now 10 hours later I'm at 60%. I imagine this will get a little better but still pretty solid.

could some of you guys check your battery manager in the settings, and tell me what percentages you are seeing for battery use

That won't tell u much, everyone's will be very different, depending what apps, how much time the phone spends in standby, signal strength/distance from tower...ect

I'm not happy with my battery performance either. I know it takes a few cycles for the battery to really start performing. I had to charge my battery twice yesterday after I first got the phone. Today, I took it off the charger at 6am fully charged and went to work. At 4:30pm I was down to 15%. I hardly used my phone at all during the day. I checked a few text messages and facebook updates and also browsed the internet for maybe ten minutes TOPS. My WiFi, bluetooth and GPS were off all day. I have my screen set to timeout at 30 seconds. I am not using a live wallpaper. I checked my running apps and shut off live news feeds and some other apps that I didn't need open. the battery certainly shouldn't have worn down that quickly with such little activity. I'll also add that I'm in a strong 3G area and had 4 bars of signal strength the entire day while in my office building. When I checked battery usage, it was 78% screen, 18% cell standby and 5% phone idle at 4:30pm. I'll give it another week or so and see how/if things improve as it gets "broken in" more.
