Popped your Google Wallet cherry at retail setting yet? I did today, and it was interesting.

Anyone use it with a rearth case on it?

Ugh!!!!! I sooo want this! Is it available for at&t? If so where can I find it? It would be perfect for me since I have my phone more than my wallet.

If I could somehow get an app to store my drivers license, I would probably never carry my wallet again.

Used mine at 7-Eleven the other day. I have used it there before, but this time there were new cashiers. One of them got so excited that he started jumping up and down and giving high fives. Then the other one asked if I wanted a receipt and when I showed him it was already on the phone the two of them literally jumped around and then the high fives and fist bumps really started flying.

7-Eleven coffee never tasted so good.

I used it a couple times last summer. It was no faster then swiping my Amex so i just stopped using it. I had to sign a receipt at that time, maybe they changed it by now. Signing killed it for me. The last thing I want to do is touch their pen. I know its a double transaction google/Amex. Where my Amex is just a straight transaction. I always carry both my wallet and phone. If I was stuck with just my phone , it might come in handy.

Huh....Just now saw this and launched Google Wallet on my phone. I always thought it was used in conjunction with Play Store purchases, but I didn't put 2 and 2 together and think about using this. What do I need to look for at retailers to know if it will work?

No need to be rude. I used mine at McDonalds and CVS and neither said Pay Pass but they had a little touch pad over the regular card reader with a symbol that looks like radio waves. Interestingly, at the one place that *said* PayPass, Whole Foods, it didn't work.

Turns out Amex stopped the transaction. Had a fraud alert email AND phone call waiting for me when I got home.

That wave symbol is the pay pass logo.

First time I used GW was last summer. Evo 4g lte, it is so easy and fun to mess with the cashiers. Wife and I were at circle k, the cashier asked if I just used my phone to pay for our stuff, I told her yes, we are broke till payday and decided to put these purchases on our phone bill. She actually believed me, my wife and I were dying laughing as we got into our car. .

I don't use it because its faster. I agree it is not. I use it because is convenient. No fiddling with my wallet, etc

Do they still make you sign for the transaction? Or maybe that depends on the store...

I think generally for credit cards it depends on the amount of the transaction if you have to sign or not. Probably works the same for this. Kind of bothersome from a security standpoint that someone could use your card over and over as long as its under a certain amt before you get it cancelled.
