Porting out of Google Fi

Is it a big pain? There are some rather lurid stories floating around.

Once you get your port out number/code do you have to use it within a certain time?

Mint Mobile tells me "Number Transfer in progress" so I guess I'll find out.

Completed! I am now a Mint Mobile customer, and nothing got fouled up.

E-SIM is great!
