Portrait mode selfies not working.

Any advice?
Options include: (1) Wait for next update and see if it helps; (2) Ignore the problem; (3) Switch to a different kind of phone; (4) Do another factory reset, install minimal necessary apps and make minimal necessary settings changes, and see if you still have the problem; if not, gradually add more apps and settings. (There's no assurance that option 4 will work, but it might.)

I think I will go for options 1 and 2. The issue is not very important but I feel a new flagship phone should be working in all areas out of the box.

I agree. Vaguely similar issues that I encountered on previous phones were frustrating. But you seem to have a healthy perspective on the matter. :)
 
I marked off all the ones that I use. The others I don't have. Also I don't think I have it for secure folder but I might. View attachment 332416

So I would have to uninstall or disable all of those apps that you do not have, reboot, wait a few hours to see if it works? Then reinstall them one by one to see which one might be the culprit?
 
I honestly don't know. I have no idea. Did you try the phone before you installed your apps?

No I didn't but it worked fine in safe mode so maybe it is one of those apps. So far I uninstalled the 3 Wegman apps and rebooted but the problem came back. An hour ago I uninstalled Instacart and so far the problem has not come back but it is still way to early to tell since the issue usually pops up again within 3 hours after a reboot .

It wasn't the Instacart app. I give up. I will just hope a future update fixes it.
 
Update: This morning I got a message from Samsung through the members app in response to the error report I submitted early February. It said "Issue will be fixed in the next version" Vey encouraging news as it seems Samsung is aware of the issue and taking action. I have to say that since I got this phone in late January I have been very impressed with Samsung's customer service and attitude.

Or else that's their stock reply when they have no idea what's going on and not enough complaints to investigate further. Maybe their reply is legit, and I hope so, but I'm afraid I'm not confident yet.

I think it is legit. I got the stock reply initially And then out of the blue, this morning about a month later, I got the reply saying that it would be fixed and they actually said in the next version.
 
I just got this additional message through the Samsung members app. Does anybody know what cdsp fastrpc means? At least they say the problem was identified and will be fixed. I wish they had told me though which third party app caused the issue.
