Possible Hasselblad True Zoom Camera Moto Mod?

I can see the use case for this mod but it seems rare.

1) Traveling and you want to be as light as possible (no backpack, etc) yet you want to take good pics. This is opposed to carrying something like a light DSLR or a 4:3

2) Hiking or walking around a park and you KNOW you are going to be taking pics AND the quality of your phone wont do

3) You want to look cool

Its like the JBL speakers. Can see how its useful BUT I would never carry it around always attached...so I would need to know that I would be needing the speakers.

It will be interesting to see the price for this mod as well as its actual photo quality, which I would hope would significantly surpass any cell phone camera, but likely still less than your pocketable point and shoot.

I would expect it to be the same as a point and shoot camera, but that's a wide spectrum of quality. Good cell phone cameras are already as good (or sometimes better than) really cheap point and shoot cameras. I wouldn't count on this being as good as the best point and shoots. Question is where it lands on the spectrum. Having optical zoom is a wonderful thing when you need it, though.
