No, their server is getting raped right now from what we've seen. The first few times I managed to get the page open the images popped up just fine, the last time they came up blank

But I noticed that it also said "phones start shipping 12/6" or something rather. Does that mean Pre-order tomorrow or that phones start landing to Verizon stores?

I think they mean that the phones start getting shipped off to the stores (or will start arriving in stores) 12/6. But they have to keep their arrival under deep cover until Friday...

I read it and it seems to be written very unprofessionally. Is this really the kind of email Verizon sends to their Corp stores??? It seems like it was written for children! Good grief. Not that I doubt the 9th as the release date, but this seems like a total fake email/attachment given how it seems to be written in 2nd grade English.

My observations exactly. Since the email said something along the lines of "don't display the phone until you get word from [censored] Corporate to do so" - the tipster (or RootzWiki for that matter) wouldn't be redacting Verizon from the email if that's what it said.

The words 'authorized Verizon retailer' means you should ignore it. BritishTurbo reported several hours ago that authorized retailers have been told they won't be allowed to sell it until the 15th, while corporate stores will get it on the 8th.

In other words; nothing has changed, and this 'proof' is nothing different than what we already knew.

Was it just me, or did anyone else think it was strange that, third party retailer or not, this email was sent to a Gmail account?!? Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my Gmail, but I would have to think that just about any third party retailer would have bit more of a "corporate" type of email system for business emails.

I think the Gmail account you question belongs to whoever posted the tip on RootzWiki, not the tipster him/herself.

Definitely for third party retailers. Locking up cages, receiving individual units by scanner, stores that sell Verizon phones, all key signs of that.

Who knows if that holds true for Best Buy though. BB probably ranks somewhere above the authorized retailers. (and if I recall correctly, they also have their own supply chain that isn't dependent at all on Verizon)
