Possible to Restore Hardware Buttons to Display?

The S7 / S7 Edge have the three buttons which would appear on the bottom of a display, for instance, on a Nexus device - the back button, the home button, and the multitasking button - moved to below the display, built into the chassis of the phone. Is there a way to put those buttons back on the display without rooting it?

I ask because, if I got in an S7, I would be interacting with it through a disability device which acts as a mouse. If the buttons aren't on the screen, I can't use the mouse to press them.

Yes, there is an option called ASSISTANT MENU in the Accessibility Settings of the device. This lets you place a floating button to access not only those but many other functions from that toolbar.
