seriously, i dont think the pull of this has anything to do with the update. imo. we are way too quick to speculate.
Okay guys question:
I ahve seen a lot of people speculate that the reason for no 3d roladex thing and moving backgrounds is becase the DROID can't handle it.
I find this odd considering it is handling pretty well these type of applications/functions with it not being opptimized for the DROID.
And with it only Four Months old.... Is this true or just something people are throwing around?

This reminds me of a girl I knew in High School back in the 60s -- she really wanted to, really. She was really excited by it. Yes, she really wanted to. Tonight. Really. Tonight. Well, maybe next week.....But she really wanted to....
Its not that it can't handle it (it can and does). It's that the new app drawer is not meant to be used in landscape. When it is used in landscape we have alignment issues.
Yeah back in the 40's when I was 25 I knew a girl like that.
So has anyone seen any comment from Verizon or Motorola explaining why they did the Big Tease today? This whole business seems fairly bizzare. I wonder if some MegaBug got discovered at the last minute, and they wanted to avoid a Toyotathon. Who knows?

Here are the offical notes. The update has not yet been released.

terribly disappointed in the 2.1 update for the Droid.. Where is my app drawer? where is my live wallpapers? or my 5 screens? dont tell me it's a technicality on the Droid.. the ported 2.1 can do it, so should the official.
