I know no Flash - that has been announced for July.

But I'm curious to what the 2.1 we will be getting will include.

Are we getting Animated Wallpapers?
Are we getting 5 screens?
The new Launcher?

From what I heard everything the n1 has minus the new launcher and livewallpapers but the live wallpaper apk may be able to be added in for root users

From what I UNDERSTAND (purely based off of what I have read though, so I could be wrong), we should be getting 5 homescreens as the only thing I have seen omitted is the new app launcher and the live wallpapers. I heard those two were only experimental for the N1 for the time being?

There has been no documentation showing we'll get 5 screens unless we get the launcher. It's an open question.

I was just wondering since someone got the 2.1 build if they could answer these questions for sure. I honestly hate the Nexus launcher. Fine if they leave it out but I need more screens.

I watched it also the roms out now are better. but its still a good thing this leaked it will fix bugs in some 2.1 roms so hopefully we will have some excellent roms once they get the stuff missing that's needed

I'm sure you've all heard by now, sholes got shut down and taken off of market. It also appears that their website is down.

This timing seems more than coincidental with the delay of the 2.1 release. Here's my opinion: Either Motorola or Verizon is trying to make the new OS root-proof, or at the very least, more difficult to root. So, before the release, they're getting the major root developers scared and / or out of business.

Once they've got developers running scared and end users concerned about having no "support" for rooted devices.... THEN they'll release it. The "bug" is the root-ability of 2.1.

What do you think? Does this hypothesis make any sense to anyone?

I doubt the reality of the actual 2.1 update for the Droid looking like that.

All that looked like was all of the N1 programs ported........and we can already do that.

So, sit tight kids, the real 2.1 update i am sure will be far better than whatever he did.

I'm sorry, but even Moto announced that that's all they're adding/updating with that update page they had. I got to see it and no wallpapers/launcher was introduced.

Speaking of root, everyone see this on Droidmod.org FAQ's?:

"Can I continue to use SMUpdater?
Please discontinue the use of SMUpdater. We will be re-releasing SMUpdater as DMUpdater very shortly. Those of you who donated to the former Sholes.info team by purchasing SMUpdater will automatically be upgraded to DMUpdater."
