Post GB update ... The reboots are back

Well, you can ROOT your phone without losing any data, by using http://www.revolutionary.io. Once you have ran that, you can download MyBackUp Pro and backup your data (game data, SMS, MMS etc). Then once all that is done, you can flash to a ROM. If you don't like it.....go back to the stock GB OTA....people here do it all the time. I regularly flash to a new ROM about 2 times a week....and always come back to BAMF Forever....the ROM is just stable!.

My phone is under warranty also, and if I have to take it back (which I did after I rooted and flashed), I just FACTORY RESET and an hour or so later.....I was in the Verizon Store.

Speaking of which, last time I was in the store (issue with my oldest boy's Droid 2), I was showing the sale dude my BAMF'd phone....he wrote the TeamBAMF web address and said he was going to flash to it. Told him it was "debloated" of all the crapware.

Moral of the story......BACKUP and FLASH!

Thanks, you pushed me over the edge on it, just finished the root. Couldn't believe how easy it was after all. Now to look into trying some of the ROMs, and debloating.

I had my first reboots today, once about 30 seconds after I plugged it in to charge and the other about 30 seconds into a phone call. Never had that problem before except on froyo when using navigation.

+1 on the Reboots. It's freezing up in the middle of any app and then resetting after a couple of minutes of being frozen. I'm REALLY getting tired of this. Great battery life now, only problem is, the darn phone want stay on!

This is just ridiculous! Paying nearly $300 for a phone, it should WORK without having problem after problem after problem! I was excited that I was getting to the end of the day on my battery and then the reboots started. I almost through my phone against the wall! Verizon should recall ALL of these and give us our choice of the other phones free!!! Or refund us the full purchase price of them!

Anyone else not able to get the update to 605.5? I did get the update to 605.3, but I have tried several times/day for the last week to get the new update, but the phone says it is checking, then doesn't do a thing. Any suggestions?

Yep, I've had about 3 reboots since the latest GB update. Which is odd, because I never experienced this before(and I've had the phone since launch).

Also, I think rooting might be in my future, but since I only have a Mac, I'm not even sure if that's possible.
