You do have a good point and I wish that logic worked for me Unfortunately, that is what keeps me away from iOS. I just get too bored too dang fast

Have you jailbroken? Last iPhone I had was the iPhone 4 and I was jailbroken from day one after fooling around with it on my old iPhone 3g. Loved changing up the aesthetic with features from Cydia.
