Post pictures taken with the Moto X (1st gen) here

Re: Post pictures taken with Motorola X here

This shot is the first one I have posted that I edited. Because the sun reflection killed the contrast and color I tried to bring it back a bit...
-Android 4.4
-Stock updated photo app
-Touch focus -ON
-HDR -OFF
-Editied for contrast and color, cropped.

View attachment 104873 so much noise with this camera in low light situations, I have to admit that this camera just continues to disappoint me

What Android version? Was touch focus on? HDR?

It would be great if people posted this type of info when posting a pic in this thread (plus, if a third party app was used, post-pic adjustments, etc.)? It's not really that helpful without that stuff. I think some of these outdoor shots look great.

Stock camera up to date
4.4
No HDR no cropping
No attempts to fix with 3rd party apps, that's just the X camera in all its crappiness
Touch focus on

At least it's 4.4. Supposedly there is at least a modicum of low-light improvement in 4.4.2.

Re: Post pictures taken with Motorola X here

Taken on a foggy morning and edited with Snapseed.

Re: Post pictures taken with Motorola X here

Maybe it's just my imagination but 4.4.2 seems to improve the camera's speed and post processing, notably, better noise control. I haven't seen anything listed in any changelogs about camera improvements, so am I just imagining things?

Not sure why I'm getting "invalid attachment" messages. I hate this forum's interface with regards to pic attachments. It is NOT user friendly whatsoever. Hopefully the third try works...

You can see the detail on the cat's face on the native camera.

Comparison of a crop from a 4.4 X and a 4.4.2 X. To me, the noise reduction and color rendition are improved with the update.

Touch focus on. HDR on auto but I suspect not used. Punch and vibrance filter using stock software. Stock camera.

Yeah same happens here. I think I might have orientation lock on but I wasn't sure the blurriness in the beginning was normal

Not sure why it does it. So you have the same effect? Its almost like it has to process the picture when I view it. But after, most pictures come out pretty nicely.
