Here are some pictures I took of our Christmas tree. Only lighting was from the lights on the tree and a faint streetlight that doesn't really illuminate the room. With the tree lights off the room is almost pitch black. HDR helps to bring noise in low light shots to a minimum.

That is pretty impressive. You have a steady hand. Thanks for posting.

First full day of camera came in Central Ohio on vacation. Still tweaking it but here are some of my pics from Columbus. They turned out well for not updating the OS that had a pending update. (Literally I was rushing to activate the phone Friday night before sleep and a Saturday AM flight.)

I chose Nationwide Arena for the home NHL game with Pittsburgh since it had color. Columbus weather was dreary Saturday and not much color to be seen. These are raw and uncropped, unedited, etc.

Those look good. I used to live in Columbus and like nationwide arena. Good atmosphere, but the upper level is a little too steep to be comfortable squeezing around people.

I love the upper level. I have never had an issue with squeezing around people. And there's not a bad seat in the house. But the area looks beautiful since I last saw it. Definitely a few cosmetic changes since I moved to Florida in 2010. Three that stand out immediately with 2:40 a.m. mush mind are the parking garage behind the arena (used to be just one huge parking lot), the Tim Horton's replacing the uppity restaurant near the Big Lots ticket gate, and moving the high school jerseys from the entrance to another location. I had already seen via TV some of the upgrades, such as the new display ribbons and the new scoreboard.

From experience.. The low light is so bad it actually starts to lag.. At least that is what happened last night to me.

Pic 1: taken in my schools wrestling locker room, pretty low light. (Back story: I broke my arm in a scrimmage while wrestling this kid)
Pic 2: fire pit with HDR on
Both taken with the stock Moto camera with full 21MP I believe

Here are some pictures I took recently in Old San Juan and off the coast of Barbados with my Droid Turbo.

That is very nice. I took some photos with my Turbo on Christmas eve and Christmas morning and they came out very nice. These were far superior to the photos I took with my Maxx HD, under similar lighting conditions in the same room(s) last year.

Yeah, you sure know how to hurt a guy...we're supposed to get 5 inches of snow tonight in Minneapolis.

There might have been a little rubbing it in with that one :) lol.. fair enough. Living in the North East it's usually me worrying about that snow.. its been a strange year :)
