I was having what I would consider pretty good battery life (about 3 days max) before the update but since then I'm luck to get 2 days out of it. I was under the understanding the the update was to address battery life issues but didn't think it was going to go in the opposite direction.

How is battery life for everyone since you have gotten the update?

Mike

After the update the battery life of my GW46mm BT is as good as, or even slightly better than before the update.
I charged it to 100% last night, wore it while sleeping (7hrs), and now after 14hrs total the battery is still at 93%.

yeah, my 46mm is still drawing power at the rate of about 20% per day like it always has.

I am definitely getting better battery life but I cannot claim 20% a day. I am good for perhaps two and a half days before charging. Is there any app similar to cell phones that allows you to see what is draining the battery on the watch?

The Gear Wearable app shows which apps have been using the battery.

Keep in mind that watch faces could very well be an issue. If they were not updated its possible they are the culprit with the update. If you are seeing more battery drain try a different face for a few days.

I'm lucky if i get a full day of battery life. Before the update I got maybe 2.5 days of battery.
Hope they send a fix soon.

I can't say I have noticed a change positive or negative in regards to the battery life post update but I will keep an eye on it. Right now I am averaging 3-4% of usage per hour of course that will change once I go to the gym.

Horrific since the update... I FB and use my camera all day and went from 1 / 1.5 to less than a day

are you guys using the LTE version or Bluetooth versions?
I'm thinking of the BT ones.. will that have better battery life compared to LTE?

LTE here. My battery life got way better after update. LTE will use more battery while on LTE, in Bluetooth mode it's the same as just Bluetooth mode.

T-Mobile LTE watch here. After awhile with the update now, I can say the battery life is marginally worse. I still get 4-5% loss over the course of the night. During the day when I use AOD (which I always do), I average about 0.2-0.5% per hour worse than before. I tried turning off AOD a few times and then it's on par with prior performance, so it might be a watch face issue like others have suggested. FWIW I use only the default watch faces.

All in all, the hit to battery life is small enough to not outweigh the benefits of the update. I'm still getting 2 days of battery life so not a big deal. Far better than the hit I took when upgrading the gear S3.

I did a full charge last night and took it off the charger. At about 11.30pm. This morning I woke at about 7.30am at 94%. Is that considered okay battery drain?
Mine's the BT version.

That's about what I'm getting on average. I also have the BT version so I guess that's within normal limits.
