Post your benchmark results here!

Sounds like he is running midNIGHT,Bonsai or ACS Syndicate ROM to get those scores.
If you believe in benchmarks which most users don't and most developers don't either, sure they supply them but mainly to stop the questions before they are asked.

Anyways yes those types of scores are achievable with the right custom ROMs. Average rooted/custom ROM runs in the neighborhood of 1500-1800 quadrant score. That's on either the leaked DK28 Froyo or official EB13 Froyo, under normal kernel settings. Oveerclocked kernels will get you up into that neighborhood of 2000+ depending on the ROM and the varying scores among devices (they don't all run exactly the same).

I'm on SFR 1.0.1 and the Twilight kernel. I hit over 2000 when I overclocked to 1.2 GHz. I normally run it a 1 GHz for battery purposes, since real world performance isn't really affected.

Syndicate Rom Frozen 1.0.2 with ext4 and Eb13 and I am getting up to 2500 quadrant score. Does that seem high?

Question for people that are rooted etc

What are your smartbench and quadrant scores now. I am stock and get ~1022/2300 and 1061 respectively. Just wondering.

If you are a PC guy, all root means is that it gives you the user, administrator rights, so that alone will not increase your benchmark scores. Now flashing different Roms or Kernels will most likely have an affect on benchmarks.

Smartbench 2011 runs 1010/2473, Quardrant comes in at 2019.

Im running ACS syndicateROM Frozen 1.0.2. Other than that I have setCUP set on conservative.

Also, my battery life has been killing it lately. I was at 22% yesterday after 16 hours unplugged.

Just like the above poster, i too am on ACS Syndicate ROM Frozen 1.0.2 and my SmartBench scores are 1356/2851

Currently running Baked Snack 2.1 with a quadrant score of 1800+ , score could be higher but runs quick and smooth with awesome battery life. Had it off the charger for over 29 hours while trying to run the battery down. Baked Snack 2.2 is supposed to be even better, too bad I'm phone poor...

That's the kind of stuff I'm looking for. Esp the battery life. I won't play many games other than angry bird type games but I just want my phone to run smooth and have good battery life. I guess it's time I get into rooting/ROM/Kernel etc. I'll go ahead and tell you, I'm nervous LOL

Don't be, rooting seems scary but it's only because you have to figure everything out. The chance that you'll permanently mess up your phone is like .01%, and only if you do something really stupid (like disconnect USB cable during odin flash). Worst case scenario is likely that you'll have to wipe your phone and re-download everything, but after having done that several times, you start to get the hang of it after awhile.

I also recommend the program mybackuproot, which will back up all of your apps and data (works better than Titanium IMO).

OK guys, I'm on stock EC05. Point me to the links to root with the EXT4 and a good ROM etc. Sorry for all the questions and requests.

really? I try to use it but everytime I try to restore, I get a whole bunch of force closes from gmail and a neverending force close from launcherpro, even though I exclude it from my back up and restore. I need help cuz really the only way I restored my apps in the past was from my memory (I had to remember like 100 apps but I can only remember like 60 :P). Btw, if you're wondering how I did the back up, I put it local, saved only my apps (no data) as apks. Then I restored it from local and chose the apks to restore from. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong here.

Officepolarbear try using appbrain to remember what you had.
I sync mine and print out a hard copy before i do any ROM upgrades.
Just in case something gets messed up it gives me a reference to what was installed.
