In Chicago pulled 2 tests the high was 8.32 down and 1.56 up on 4g only

Just checked the hotel wifi w/ 4g off and was .99 down .54 up ... looks like i am just unsing my phone

Sprint says that they will be slowly increasing the speeds of 4g in all its markets during the next couple of months. Also they are upgrading 3g in some markets as demands increases so 3g speeds should increase also. 4g is still new so they are working out the kinks. Im sure by the end of the year speeds will increase.

My 4G speeds are abysmal. I'm truly getting pissed off about it. It's the only flaw to the phone. The 3G is great.. nice acceptable ping that owns my iPhone. Everything is great except the 4G. I can live without it, but I am sort of sad about this.

So here are my three results. I did 3G, 4G, and WiFi. Had to go two blocks over to do the 4G test since my house is in the middle of a 4G dead zone in my city.

3G - Down - 1.22 Up - .26
4G - Down - 3.42 Up - .54
WiFi - Down - 10.36 Up .90

Am able to sustain at least 4Mbps from my condo (peaks to 7). Watching Netflix HD movie using EVO 4G Hotspot and have no rebuffering. Will test with PS3 Netflix.

can you post a source link. Increasing there 3G coverage interests me a bit more than the 4G.

Am getting much more consistent 7Mbps+ results using Dolphin HD browser in Market.

I'm in Coppell, Texas and just tested. I have 2 4G bars. I got 5200kbps download and 1050kbps upload.

Using WiFi at my home, I get 11mb down and just under 4mb up. Using 3G at home, I get 1.1mb down and 755k up. This is using the speedtest.net app. I will have to try the Dolphin browser. I am happy with what came on the Evo however.

I ran a couple of outdoor tests near Boston and the best was 8.77 down and .88 up. Not bad since Boston isn't even supposed to be 4G live yet.
