With all the comments about signal being lower than normal, Id like to see what kind of speeds you're all getting on your pixels. While my signal is lower than previous phone (Droid Turbo 2), my mobile speeds are higher than before.

Post your provider, general location if not shown, and screenshot of highest speed. Hopefully you have the chance to try a few locations and post the highest speed to obtained.

Verizon, Denver

I haven't done too much testing around town with it. Here is a LTE test in Florida (T-Mobile).

I'd invite all of you to my office where you'd see your data speeds drop like a stone to 10Mbps at best. This is all dependent on where you are, a matter of few steps this way or that. At least in my urban/suburban locale. I'd have to constantly run Speedtest to find where I get the highest speeds.

I'd not suggest anyone test indoors for maximum speeds unless simply curious. Obviously, you will get better speeds outside of buildings. And while you're right, locations/towers can vary, you can atleast get a good idea of your speeds in the area. I live in a slightly hilly area and the speeds near my house are similar to your office speeds. Then again, Denver has never been known for great speeds. Actually its been ranked as one of the worst.

Brooklyn, NY on Verizon inside a construction trailer... Significantly faster than my Droid Turbo

Well yes -- area really depends on cell signal. Such as for my area T-Mobile is amazing whereas others will probably have just Edge speeds if they had T-Mobile.

I thought this was supposed to be mobile data speeds. I see some people post speed tests while on Wi-Fi.

Who? bighap? With that ping, I'd be willing to bet it was mobile.

Edit- think you were referring to seeing the wifi icon in status bar. You can look at previous results. Say you tested 4 different times and the 2nd was the fastest. You could be on wifi and view your mobile result. Also, there's a little antenna that shows up towards the top left of the result that indicates it was mobile.

Ok, thanks for the clarification.

Better than my wifi! Which is .33 mbps upload and 1.1 mobs download and my ping is around 40 ms

Interesting thread.

The first test below is over LTE. I am on Project Fi and currently connected to a T-Mobile tower which, according to Network Signal Info app (Play Store) is located 252 meters from my current position in my office about 1 meter from a large window. I am in Bristol, CT and the Speedtest server in Oxford, MA.

The second test is over Wi-Fi, Comcast Business service rated 150Mbps Up / 25Mbps down (but usually performs better):

This is no representation of what I usually get. In fact, its the highest I've ever recorded anywhere. Verizon in Denver.
