This is my current setup. I made the wallpaper in Photoshop using brushes from Tamsin Baker, and the dock text with a font I can't recall at the moment. Each part of the wallpaper that's colored in functions as an widget, even though they are actually part of the wallpaper. I may consider making them movable icons in the future, but I wanted to make sure that they'd remain scaled properly, and it would have been harder if they'd been actual icons vs. parts of the wallpaper.
The car opens up my nav app, the girl in green opens my camera app, the rubble in the back opens up a folder with my regularly used homescreen apps, the boombox opens a folder with all my media apps, the bunny opens a folder with all my games, the girl in orange opens up a folder with my frequently used apps, and the blue box on the right currently does nothing because I forgot it was there, and haven't thought of a use for it yet.
