Post your Samsung Captivate Screenshots!

This one? >-Clicky-< It was a theme from the International Galaxy S version (GT-I9000)- I was running at custom ROM based off of the I9000 so it was an easy fit.

Here's a recent screenshot of what I'm up to-

WOW that is clean, I luv it. What did u use to make it? I want to customize mine. I need ot see what programs to get to do it tho.

The clock is called one more clock, i'm using adw launcher ex with the bbt red theme.

to get the red status bar, battery widget, etc. i'm pretty sure you'll have to be rooted, but there could be another way. not sure. anyways, for that its the firefly rom with the dark red fire theme.

Hello all. This thread encouraged me to used some cosmetic apps and so here is mine after a little work. its nothing compared to all of yours, but i figured id join in anyways.

Hey, it looks fine. I love the wp. :D

When I first got my phone I was trying all different combos and I always come back to simple/clean, like yours.

so, call me a n00b, but should i root my phone? cant say im a use phone junkie, but will it give me more options in terms of customization for the homescreen?

Most launchers are where the different levels of home screen customizing take place. As fas as I know, none of them require root.

Some theming does require it, but a lot can be done with a good launcher.

I like LauncherPro Plus, Go, and Zeam (all free in the market). Docks and I cons are scattered all over the internet.

For the record, rooting, unrooting (or even flashing back to stock if there's a problem) are simple easy and relatively safe if you do your homework.

Will rooting fix my GPS ??? And I don't like the way I select text . Will rooting fix this too . Also I would love to have gingerbread . How do I root and get gingerbread too?
I'm a newbie

I'm pretty sure that rooting your phone won't fix the gps. And as for the way you select text you can download a gingerbread keyboard from the market. As for running Gingerbread you would have to root it, back up all your files and apps and flash it with a custom rom. I used CyanogenMod 7 which I believe is currently the only ROM that is based off Gingerbread. It is still listed as beta but I have found it very stable for daily use. Now do I suggest you doing this to your phone? If you want to risk bricking your phone and voiding the warranty then go ahead and do it at your own risk.
