Same thing happens to me. But I did notice when my 4g signal is strong I stay on 4g whole time. I hit 4g today and hit only 13mbps. Reason I say only is because a tmobile phone here on hsdpa+ gets usually 8-12mbps on regular basis. Lte for tmobile started popping up here too and on average it doesn't go below 22mbps. I hope Sprint steps it up. They have till December to get their act together.

I personally never see them beating others in LTE speed. I do know when they started they even said they aren't going to be the fastest.

My wife was just at the Denny's near Jefferson Davis and said she just had 4G for a few minutes. I'm about two miles from where she is and haven't seen anything. Would be nice to have it fully here in Fredericksburg though. Nice to see a native here.

I have I guess 4g here at green monster in las vegas nv. Cross streets Koval lane and tropicana blvd. According to coverage map and sprint. Las Vegas doesn't have lte yet. I keep hearing rumors for us oct or end of year. Is this how they started with other cities a trial run.

Ok I got another LTE signal a faster one here in Las Vegas NV. Location 215 and Rainbow ramp near Walmart and arroyo crossings. For Vegas folks. Its still not official here. I noticed the server is still from Mojave CA.

I picked up 4G twice today in downtown Phoenix!?!? Long enough to load a few videos of big bang off the CBS website didn't think to test speed tho *face palm* anyone else picked it up?
