Power button help please?

So my mom had a LG Optimus G that she dropped in the sink that had water in it. she put it in rice and it all works but the power button. So she gave me the phone and I am wondering is there a way i can fix the power button, or a app that works i have a screen shaker on there now but it only works sometimes and i gotta plug it in most the time to get it on.

Welcome to Android Central! Once water damage has begun, you can't really reverse it. And I don't think there's any software method of powering on a phone. I think you'll just have to get the power button replaced.
