Power button Maxs out volume?

When I press the power button on the right side of my Gnex it makes my volume setting go to max. At first I thought I was accidentally pressing the volume rocker up, but after replicating this several times my fingers are clear of the volume rocker. I have the Verizon silicone case with the oem battery and it is not touching the button. I am running Volume+ so I can hear the ringer but this was happing before I installed it.

I read the known bug thread and did not see this one. Is anyone else having this issue?

Yes. I just tried it even did a battery pull. I have the volume one notch below max then I use the volume rocker to turn the volume down then the power button to turn the screen off but the volume goes back up.

Sounds like an hardware issue with the phone. You might have to exchange it.

I pretty much have this same problem. It's only happened a couple of times though. Like you, I'm running Volume+ and have the High Gloss Silicone Case.
