I have been an Evo 4g LTE user for 18 days. It's a great phone, but I have been having problems with the power button sticking, causing the "restart countdown" window to pop up. I don't remember this happening when I first got the phone. I just remember this becoming a frequent problem after I got my case (a few days after). I have a Diztronic Matte Back Black Flexible TPU Case. I saw another thread discussing the issue with restarts and various cases (including this one). I don't think my case is causing the issue though, since I don't see any area of the power button being interrupted by the case.
At first, I wasn't sure what was causing the restarts. I would be just turning off my screen and then see the "restart countdown" show up. I recently noticed that the power button was in fact sticking. The button itself can stick on either side individually or the whole button can get stuck, both instances causing the restart.
Since I have been looking through the various pages of threads, and haven't been able to find threads discussing my issue, I am not sure if the phone itself is the problem and I have to get it replaced. Also, is there any option in the phone's settings which lets you change the action of the holding down the power button?
