What is the functon of the button between the sync button and the bluetooth button in the Power Control Widget that comes with the Captivate?

Thanks! It is lit but the GPS icon is not on top of the screen. What does the locator do?

the GPS icon only shows up in the notification area when it is being used. If you launch Maps it will show up.

What Slappy said, and hopefully you will see GPS lock in a few seconds after opening google maps or any other app. Mine takes about 10 seconds or less.

Searching for signal you will see it going from a satellite to a satellite with 3 waves coming from it. Once you have it, it stays on the satellite with 3 waves, you have lock on a satellite...if you care to know.

By default, it shows the WiFi, BT, GPS, Sync, and Brightness options when you add the widget. Is there a way to add/delete/change these options?

Not on the stock widget, but their are several alternatives in the market that are customizable. I use Power Control Plus.
