Though I've only had it for a day, it seems that nougat has improved battery life considerably. I have performance set to "optimized" as recommended and I see no decrease in performance so if that's what's improving battery life, I'm fine with that.

What's been your experience with battery life since the move to nougat?

it depends on the phone itself as my S7 had many battery problems I managed to fix but the PIXEL hadn't any at all.

I'm running a Galaxy S7 Active with the 4000 mAh battery, using "Mid" Level Power Saving Mode and it's been off the charger for 1 day, 14 hours, 7 mins, 30 seconds and says it's at 61% (expects to last another 37 hours, 49 minutes)! When I switched to "Mid" Level, I really saw NO Performance Hit at all, either... not that I noticed any way. The display blanks sooner, I think it shuts off Wireless if I haven't used it in a while... stuff like that. Doesn't mess with the "processor" or any other performance related stuff unless you go to "Max" Mode!

*Just checked - Screen On Time was only 9 Hours 48 minutes for that period though!
