Power on/off

I just got a note II, I noticed that when I press the power on/off button it turns off immediately,but takes a full 2 seconds to turn on again. Is it me or is that a little slow? I've had a few android phones and they would turn on/off immediately when the power button is pressed. Any thoughts?

From a full power off mine also takes a 1-2 seconds to see the Galaxy Note II logo and has since I got it 8 months ago.

That is what is known as wake lag. Some devices seem to feel it more than others. If it really bothers you there is a root method to fix it....essentially keeps one of the cores active all the time so it wakes instantly. Google wake lag fix note 2 and you can find the mod.
