I failed to notice until today that my power saving feature was not kicking in at the point I left it on or at all. So I checked the power settings and it was gone. Was this a cause I did unintentionally or did ICS do this?

I noticed it was gone after I updated to ICS.

FYI it was removed in ICS.
Indeed, it was removed from ICS early in the testing process due to instability issues with the device. The system has a built-in Power Save mode that automatically kicks in at around 14% battery remaining, the menu in Settings appears once the battery drops beyond this point or can be accessed with Hidden Settings app from the Play Store, but the 14% level seems hard coded in the firmware and cannot be changed, prior to that level it does nothing.

Dang, even though I didn't like it times I really need it now and thanks for the link to the app
