pre-installed Music Player costantly fc's

I click on its icon, the window opens and nothing happens - it doesn't automatically fc, but gives me the Sorry! it's not responding dialog.

I tried to set a custom ringtone, but did the same thing once I got to selecting the ringtone.

Has anyone else experienced this?
