My experience with the Shack has been great. The people there are very knowledgeable. There prices were great. I have always done my upgrades online threw ATT, thought it was just a standard upgrade price all around but Radio Shack was actually cheaper.
Three weeks ago me and my husband went to a few stores just to get a hands on feel for the phones we were going to order online and ended up purchasing the Motorola Flipside and HTC Aria, both at $30 each from radio shack. My husband decided to return his Flipside for the Aria we went on Sunday and they return his flipside and gave him the Aria (no restocking fee) They actually gave him his $30 back because the Aria is now FREE!!!
He told us about the new HTC Inspire and since I loved the aria so much I needed to get this new phone! I am anxiously waiting for Sunday!!!
I will also get my $30 back when I return my aria. So now we have $60 towards the $100. So I am only adding another $10 on to what we originally paid 3 weeks ago for phones. Plus, the $30 in accessories! (they also told my husband he now has another 30 days to return his Aria if he wants!)
My question is does anyone know if the $30 in accessories needs to be purchased on Sunday (or the day you pick up)?
The guy at the store seems to think so and is going to try and order some kind of skin/case to have in stock when I come. I just don't seem to think there will be many due to this being so new. Haven't seen any online yet either.

I thought it was kind of strange ordering from Radio Shack too. But I purchased my iPhone 4 from them last year. And it was new. You open it up right there. I have had no problem so this is why I purchased again.
Nice! I was going to get the Nexus S (AT&T version), but looks like I'll be getting the Inspire 4G. Got lots of Best Buy gift cards to redeem!
Swung by by AT&T store this afternoon to see if they had any demo units there. They didn't but the rep I spoke to said they get the demo units when they get the phones and he said they should have them friday. Too bad I'm going out of town this weekend but monday morning I'll be sitting outside waiting for the store to open. He's going to hold one for me. Saweeeet!

I really want a silcone skin or rubberized cover. If not what would you recommend I use the $30 on? I don't think I need a car charger, but if I have to I have to!

My guess is that the only accessories that you will be able to find will be stuff like universial chargers and protective screens. The radio shack that I pre-ordered from doubts that they will get any Inspire specific accessories to sell.

My Shack told me that they were getting Inspire-specific cases, but they didn't know how many. They said when a new phone comes out, they only get about two or three, so they're going to hold one of them for me.
my radioshack visit was positive. instead of a $30 gift card they done a $50 gift card which you can apply to the cost of the phone of course. they said they will probably get the phones thursday-friday but cant sell them until sunday which is when ill go up there to claim mine. i was also the first person they took a preorder on that phone. i probably would have been fine just showing up there sunday to get it without the preorder but i figured i would at least drive up there knowing i was gonna go home with one. the manager said they will also be getting cases and chargers for it along with the phone the same day so they said they would hold a case and a car charger for me if i should decide to get one. ill prolly pop for both being car chargers are a must for me and a case is never a bad idea on such a nice phone. now if i could just sell my iphone lol
You could try to sell it on gazelle.com. I heard an ad on the radio the other day and looked up what they were gonna give me for my old phones I have layin around and it's not too shabby. Just a suggestion.
Just pre-ordered Inspire 4G. The salesman at Radioshack informed me that they would have black silicone skin, Invisible shield screen protector and car charger available on 13th for Inspire.
I just tried to pre-order an Inspire at Radio Shack. They told me I couldn't because I was buying the phone outright instead of doing an upgrade. It seems strange to me that they wouldn't allow pre-orders for buying the phone without an upgrade.
that doesnt make sense because the actual deal doesnt take place until the phone comes in. thats what i was told when i preordered mine. all you are doing at that point is just making sure there is one phone there for you once they are in regardless of the methods of purchase/contract changes.
Hi all. this is my first post, just returned from Radio shack and was all set to pre order the inspire and was told that they could not keep my unlimited data thru them. Does anyone know anything about that? they told me I would have to do my upgrade thru att to keep my unlimited data plan.
You can keep you unlimited data on newegg.com. IDK about radio shack or bestbuy.
That doesnt make any sence..You are grandfatherd in on that deal..I do know that they get a comission on what plans they sell you,(or they use to) so be careful, the only time I got a phone thru them the sales guy added a bunch of stuff I didnt want, so keep an eye on your next bill...
Thats what I told them, so I didnt sign with them, guess I am just going to wait and hopefully get the phone at ATT when the hype dies down a bit, I upgraded my husbands phone thru Costco but it didn't matter since he never had a data plan. But I refuse to give up my unlimited. I just can't pre order it I guess.
