Pre-Order date?

of course I'd rather have the Note though. I've spent a few thousand on phones and a tablet over the last 16 months. I need to slow down. Eventually if the price is right I might bite! I would trade in my S7 edge towards it and keep the s8 plus as a backup phone.

I have the S7E too and was going to wait for the Note 8. I fell in love with the S8+. I got a free line anyway, so got the S8+ but still kept the S7E as a trade-in for the Note 8. As for tablets, they gave me a free Tab A and my Note Pro 12" tab is still kicking.

would be dope. Not impossible. My guess is the earliest you'll be able to go into a store and walk one with one would be a week after launch. Here's hoping the article is right though. I hope they have a variety of colors at launch. Instead of just black and gold like always.

S8plus was my first preordered phone. It was unveiled and that night at midnight it could be preordered. I ended up waiting about a week to preorder them received in on April 19th, one to two days before available in stores. I'm figuring the same type of timing with the Note 8. AUGUST 23 announce, preorders to start within 24 to 48 hours.

I don't know about that. The S8 was available to see in store the next day. I held and played with it and the plus in the T-Mobile a block away from my house.

Part of me wants to see the LG V30 up close. The only thing swaying me from LG is their interface, which has improved over the last year, though. If the Note8 is outrageously priced, I may take a consideration to that one.

I'm hoping Samsung does preorders the 24th like blass says then, say phone will be released on the 8th instead the 15th. 2 week wait better than 3 weeks.

I'm not crazy about the whole pre-order and then releasing it 3 weeks later I really think there should be a pre-order. Of about 1 week and they should release this phone the Friday before Labor Day and capture some of those extra Labor Day sales also would give them a jump on Apple as well
