Pre-Order & Pickup in different cities?

Has anyone had any luck doing so? I'll be on vacation when June 4th rolls around, and would like to be able to pick the phone up there. I've asked at both my local BB & RS, and both have said it's not possible. I was thinking of calling a store local to where I will be to see if they'll take a phone order...but then there would be the issue of how to get me the gift card - I doubt they'd send it in the mail since it's basically cash!

Any thoughts or has anyone been able to do this?

Try calling Best Buy Mobile directly to see if they'll allow you to order at a local store and pick up in another location.

My guess is no.

I went into my Best Buy Mobile store and was about to pre-order the EVO until I found out that all of their Sprint phones (from this particular store) were mailed out. No in-store pick up. The phones are sent to the full service Best Buy in the same town, but they mail them out. So, I asked if I could order it at the BB Mobile store and them pick it up on the 4th at the regular store. Nope. My order had to be placed at the regular BB if I wanted to pick it up there.

So, I drove to the regular BB and placed my pre-order there.
