Pre-orders for UK

I've never pre-ordered from Carphone Warehouse before so I have no experience with them getting pre-orders delivered on time but the schedule seems to makes sense, handing the phones to DPD on the Friday as Monday is a bank holiday so that's a no go.

But yeah we will see what happens, hopefully it all goes smoothly.

Just a little heads up for anyone still planning to pre-order for early delivery and was looking at Carphone Warehouse as a possible option, on their website they have changed there delivery date to the 2nd September.

samsung website preorders should be charged and processed for shipping on friday right? its bank holiday monday and i cant imagine they operate saturday.... so if we dont get charged by friday night then we can safely assume samsung is delayed?

Yeah, if it isn't processed by end of day tomorrow I doubt we will get them on time :/

Well it did for a while. Gone back to preorder status! Weird.

Just rang Samsung. Straight through, no problems. Very helpful lady. She said orders being processed this weekend for delivery Tuesday. No hold ups. Sounded very positive. I'm allowing myself to get a little excited now

just called them. really nice lady.

she said they are going to start processing them on the 29th (i know, a bank holiday, makes no sense) and that the 30th was just an estimated date.

i also questioned her about the email i received this morning. people who order today get a free case, a free wireless fast charger and a free official screen protector. she confirmed that we will only be receiving the gear vr and maybe a case.

just thought id let you know !

For those that pre-ordered directly from Samsung via their online UK shop i came across this information not to long ago...

Sounds good my main status is still not processed and the status is pre-order now on the phone, ordered on request for the gear VR and in stock for the case.
