pre orders?? pricing?

So far all the carriers have announced is that they will carry it sometime this Spring. As we get closer to a launch date they'll give more details.

Think what you want but this is the 2nd place I found the info...at any rate it is going to be too much and few will buy it.

Well, look at the people who buy iPhones and who also bought the Pixel - those are expensive devices and they still got interest! I'm sure the G6 will get buyers regardless of its price point. Once we get closer to the release date, maybe we'll have a better glimpse into things like pricing, availability, etc. :)

You didn't find US launch info. You found Korea launch info and are speculating price based on currency conversion.

At launch, the V20 was the equivalent of $804 in Korea but was as low as $672 at Verizon. Big difference.

At launch, the V10 was $680 in Korea but $599 on T-Mobile.

At launch, the G5 was $730 in Korea but $629 on T-Mobile.

Based on that past history, I'm guessing $699 as US launch price and I agree, that would still make it overpriced.

While $699 is quite steep, I suppose we'll just wait and see! I'm in Canada so I'm interested in seeing what it will retail for here, and if Rogers will carry it. Hopefully they do, as they carried the G5.

If they add the promos in (gift cards, headphones, VR, whatever) $699 wouldn't be terrible. Some of the carriers will lower it too.

It was mentioned in some article that last year the G5 was priced 30% lower than S7 phone... so if they priced to compete like last year... if the S8 is 30% higher... $910... then the G6 price is looking more bearable.

I still don't understand why these companies go through these big dog and pony shows and don't say a word about pricing or availability. I mean, that's like key information.

Hopefully! That would be great! :)

Price is going to be my main deciding point. If this phone is 700 then that odds of me getting out go to zero. My nexus 6 is still going strong

I wouldn't even consider the price unless it was double the next best thing. Either the phone is awesome or it isn't, screw the price tag.

That could be the AT&T pricing which was the highest on the V20
There's no announced pricing in the US. He pulled the price from an article about the Korean release that had currency conversion listed.

If the price ends up being over $700 they don't deserve to sell a single phone.

Maybe they will price it high initially whilst there are no SD835 based competitors around and then drop the price in a month or two whilst working on a version 2 with the SD835.

If they manage to stock this soon then it will probably sell at a high price as it's unique for now and will standout when on display in the stores.
