pre orders?? pricing?

And you read this where?

$795 is an odd number so obviously that was based on currency conversion which has no relevance on actual pricing in the USA.

Ignore the poster you quoted. Folks like that are adamant about posting and releasing any information as soon as they get it so that they can be "first".

There's no announced pricing in the US. He pulled the price from an article about the Korean release that had currency conversion listed.

If the price ends up being over $700 they don't deserve to sell a single phone.

I don't know if I would go out on that limb. The market will dictate the price. I think around 600 is a better sell.

If it hits T-Mobile at $599-$649, I'll be interested if the camera is better in full auto than the V20. If the price is $699+, it's priced to high IMO.

What I posted about several times...A $795 US price was mentioned based on an article about the Korean launch that used currency conversion. Absolutely meaningless.

No I mean the prices that people are saying, "it should be this".

My opinion on price is based on the launch price history of the G series, the money LG saved by having to use the 821 instead of 835, the money they saved by using Gorilla Glass 3 on the front instead of GG5 and the money they saved by using a 2 year old Sony camera sensor.

I personally wouldn't trust BGR in terms of pricing. Just my $0.02 :).

I did not want to be first at anything. I just happened to read something about the price and thought I would share the information. I really expected it to be old news! Anyway, for my money the only compelling thing about the G6 is the flat screen which will FINALLY be able to have a tempered glass screen protector for it. However, I am leaning towards the Sony XZ premium. I like the Sony looks but I hate the glass backs on all phones. Since it is nearly a necessity to put a case on a glass backed phone, it becomes a moot point for the G6 and the XZ. But I also prefer a single lens back camera. Not a big picture taker so it comes down to the aesthetics.

I am going to use JoD on T-Mobile to go to the G6. If I don't like it i can always jump to the S8+ when that comes out in April :-)

FYI, it's a guess on his part but seeing as no one else really reported on the BGR info, I have more confidence in Andrew.

That is a lot of jumping. I'm going to suspect you of being the Easter Bunny!

I've developed a weird fixation with this phone. I know it's missing quite a bit and the OnePlus 3T would be a better value in a lot of ways. But I really want to give the new display ratio a go and like I said on the other forum "flat is where it's at" for me right now. I'm almost sure to go for the Note 8 when it comes out, though.

I have that same fixation with this phone. Can't quite put my finger on it.

Yep...i am in the same boat. Flat is where its at! Nothing wrong with my S7 edge but i like a flat screen just a little better tbh :-)

JoD is great for just this purpose. I JoD twice a year and save one for 'just in case' moments. I really like the V20, but the smaller form factor is really appealing to me.

Well, look at the people who buy iPhones and who also bought the Pixel - those are expensive devices and they still got interest! I'm sure the G6 will get buyers regardless of its price point. Once we get closer to the release date, maybe we'll have a better glimpse into things like pricing, availability, etc. :)

Why? LG is not Google or Apple both can demand a premium based on their names.
