PRE-TAP after unlocking?

Hey All,

Does anyone have an idea of why I would need to tap my screen or touch a button on my phone, right after unlocking it?

In other words... when my phone is hibernating, I hit the power button, I swipe down to unlock and get to the home screen (here comes the problem), and when I get to the home screen, I need to either tap my screen, or hit one of the 4 buttons at the bottom of the phone to begin.

I've checked under the display settings, and didn't see anything listed for this. It's not a huge problem, but I've already gotten use to not pre-tapping.

after you swipe down to unlock the phone & you get to the home screen------what's shown on the home screen?
what do you expect to have happen after you swipe your finger down?

Up until yesterday, (haven't done anything different except change my wallpaper) ...when I would swipe down to unlock the phone, my home screen would show up, and I could press any app icon or button, and it would open that particular app. Now, when I swipe down, If i hit an icon, button, or anywhere on the screen, nothing happens, it just "unlocks" the screen so that I can begin using the phone.

you're using an alternate Theme--that i assume you downloaded? i downloaded Skins from XDA, ported from a Desire (or something) and it began screwing up my TB by overlaying icons & menus.
i downloaded the Skin--including wallpaper--and applied it. shortly after i noticed my phone wasn't responding as quickly as it could.

have you tried returning to the previous Theme/Skin & seeing it if fixes the problem?

Yes, I am using an alternate theme, however, I've been using this theme for weeks now with no problems. The most recent change that I've added, is switching from the Fancy Widget to Fancy Widget Pro. I guess I can try disabling the app, and see if that's the cause.

UPDATE:

Yep... Fancy Widget Pro offers an option for Enable unlock animation.

I unchecked it, and although now I don't get a weather animation when unlocking my phone, it seems to be back to normal.
