Pre - to Epic... wow.. why did I wait.

As an owner of a release day pre and a release day epic, I completely agree with you. No OS has come close to the multi tasking ability that webos had. I love my epic and I hope that webos becomes opensourced or licensed and can somehow improve android.

I was going to make a new post, but seems like we won't be switching back in the future. Palm messes up initial marketing, HP acts like they never sold to the consumer before. It's sad that 90% of the people at precentral could have done a better job getting webos out to the users and devoloping a marketing strategy. the veer.. come on.. THE VEER!!! really... so sad. it was a great OS.

Palm inflicted its own fatal wound when they stupidly split the company into hardware and software divisions and sold off their core product, Palm OS, to a third party then had to pay to use their own invention. It got even worse when Palm wouldn't use Palm OS 6, so none of the other Palm license holders would either.

Can you imagine Apple selling off OS X to another company then paying license fees to install it on new iPCs? (Face it, Macs are PCs now, only the OS and the price makes them "different".)

Of course they wouldn't, nor would Apple have done it with the Classic OS. Palm just got a huge case of the stupids.
